Marina Dimo is a graphic designer, illustrator and creative.
She was born in Athens, where she studied Art and Design. Later on she
continued at London with her Masters Degree in Arts in
Design at Middlesex University. After working as a graphic designer in
Athens, she moved to Rome(Italy) where she continued working as a
graphic creative. Since 2007 she is working as a free-lancer illustrator
and
graphic designer between Athens and Rome, collaborating with various
agencies and
individuals.
Specialties: graphic arts, illustrations, children's illustration, art director print-graphic design, arts and painting, installations, set design.Her work includes also installations, set design, paintings and other art. She has participated in various exhibitions and events mainly in Italy, Spain and Greece.
In 2011 the first children's book with her illustrations "Natascha ein Wunderkind" was published in Switzerland by Hochschild Ltd, in 2014 her second illustrated book "The gift of the Moon" was published by the Greek Institute Med-Ina and in 2016, the third one,- "The rake conspirators" is in Greek bookstores by Kaleidoscope editions.
Marina Dimo è un' artista di grafica e illustrazioni, nata ad Atene il 1978. Da piccola ha seguito corsi di pittura che poi ha approfondito studiando Art e Design ad Atene. Ha continuato a Londra, facendo il suo Master sugli studi grafici "Arts in Design" a Middlesex University of London. Tornando in Grecia, inizia a lavorare come grafica e due anni dopo si trasferisce a Roma. Dopo aver lavorato presso due agenzie Romane, dal 2007 si occupa di illustrazioni e graphic design come free-lancer tra Roma e Atene, collaborando con diverse agenzie e individui sopratutto in Italia, Grecia e Svizzera.
Si occupa di illustrazioni, brand identity, locandine, brochure, depliants, illustrazioni per bambini copertine per libri e dischi, web design, textile design ecc. Si occupa anche di installazioni, pittura e scenografie e ha partecipato a mostre ed eventi in Italia e all’estero.
Nel 2011 è stato pubblicato in Svizzera il primo libro per bambini con le sue illustrazioni -"Natascha ein Wunderkind" - da Hochschild Ltd, nel 2014 il suo secondo libro illustrato - "The gift of the Moon"- è stato pubblicato dall' Instituto Med-Ina e nel 2016 il suo terzo libro -"The rake conspirators"- sta nelle librerie in Grecia dalle edizioni Kaleidoscope
